Nyerere National Park has a larger population of Elephants, Buffalo, hippos, crocodiles, and endangered Wild dogs. Commonly seen are the pride of Lion, Bushbuck, Impala, Warthogs, Ostrich, Giraffe, Eland, Baboon, Zebra, Hyena, Kudu, rare sable antelope and Leopard. There are more than 400 species of bird life: Fish eagle, Kingfisher, Secretary bird, Sunbird, Hammer kop, Red and yellow bill stork, Open bill stork, Weavers, Water birds, Marabou stork, Vulture’s etc.

Fly from Zanzibar Airport to Nyerere National Park (Selous) at 0700 hrs (expect to arrive at 0800 hrs). On arrival, meet & greet your guide and proceed with the game drive with a hot lunch. Transfer to Mtemere Airstrip to fly back to Zanzibar by flight, which departs at 1615 hrs ( Expect to arrive at 1730 hrs) ( Lunch)

Our first safari was very nice. We were very lucky with the animals, as you can see from the pictures. Our guide Shine told us a lot about the animals and we felt very comfortable and safe around her. The service was excellent.
