1. Zanzibar โ†’ Lake Manyara National Park

We’ll get you started with an early morning flight from Zanzibar to Arusha (departing 11:30am). Your personal safari guide will meet you at the airport, and after a quick briefing, we’re off on our adventure!

First stop is the vibrant Mto Wa Mbu village market – perfect for picking up souvenirs and seeing local life. Then we enter Lake Manyara National Park, where you’ll:

  • Search for the famous tree-climbing lions lounging in acacia branches
  • Marvel at thousands of pink flamingos painting the lakeshore
  • Spot wallowing hippos and over 400 bird species
  • Enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by wildlife

As the sun sets, we’ll check into our comfortable lodge where you can relax with dinner under the stars.

2. Ngorongoro Crater โ†’ Return to Zanzibar

Today’s the big one! After an early breakfast, we descend into the Ngorongoro Crater – a true wonder of the natural world. This full-day safari gives you incredible chances to:

  • Photograph the endangered black rhino (best viewing in Tanzania!)
  • Witness lion prides on the hunt across open plains
  • See massive herds of zebra and wildebeest
  • Enjoy lunch by the hippo pool (watch those giant yawns!)

We’ll take our time exploring before ascending the crater rim in mid-afternoon. Your guide will get you back to Arusha Airport for your 4:35pm flight to Zanzibar, with unforgettable memories of seeing the Big Five in just two spectacular days.
