The Tanzania Migration Safaris

lead the wildebeest migration northward, guiding them through the park and towards the Kenyan border. This remarkable journey unfolds from late July through August and into September. It is at this juncture that the migration undertakes one of its most awe-inspiring and perilous feats: the

Mara River Safaris

In the Serengeti, the wildebeest face the challenges of the Mbalangeti and Grumeti rivers, and in Kenya, they encounter the renowned Mara River. For much of the year, these waterways maintain a calm demeanor, often reduced to trickles. However, with the onset of rain, they transform into turbulent torrents, forming formidable barriers in the path of the wildebeest’s progress.

Day 2: Arusha – Lake Manyara National Park

The first national park you visit is one of the smaller but most scenic ones. You can see elephants and huge troops of baboons in the forest, and if you are lucky, even tree-climbing lions. A variety of wildlife can be found around the huge soda lake, like buffalos, warthogs, giraffes, wildebeest, zebras, and flamingos. The shallow Hippo Pool offers excellent opportunities for hippo sightings, and you will have a spectacular view of the Rift Valley Escarpment.

Day 3: Lake Manyara – Serengeti Central

After finishing up a good breakfast, you will head out towards the Serengeti National Park and travel amid the never-ending plain grasslands. The Serengeti is arguably the most impressive wildlife sanctuary in the world. You will have an afternoon game drive in the endless plains of the Serengeti for a chance to see the great herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles or a pride of lions lounging in the shade. A picnic lunch will be served during the daylong game drive itself. The eventful day ends with a heavy dinner and a good night’s rest in your lodge or camp.

Day 4, 5, and 6: Northern Serengeti

Today, you continue your safari in the Serengeti National Park. Its stunning landscape can be seen in some of the most impressive nature documentaries. The endless plains and abundance of wildlife are unsurpassed. The annual wildebeest migration, with more than a million wildebeest, is probably the highlight of the Serengeti. It is a true spectacle and impressive to watch millions of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles thunder across the endless plains of the Serengeti. Together with your private guide, you will be looking for the herds across the plains. Apart from the migratory animals, you will also get to see lots of other animals, like lions, cheetahs, leopards, and many more. Expect to be impressed by the natural beauty of Africa’s most famous park.

Day 7: Northern to Central Serengeti

After breakfast, you will have a half-day game drive at the Mara River area, Later in the afternoon, you will depart for central Serengeti. We head to the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. We enjoy a game drive en route.
We arrive in time for dinner and enjoy ourselves.

Day 8: Ngorongoro crater

After an early breakfast, You will depart for Ngorongoro. You will descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife. You will see a variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, giant African elephants, lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the ever-elusive leopard.
