As the sixth largest national park in Tanzania, Mikumi boasts an incredible array of wildlife, including the majestic big five – lions, elephants, leopards, and buffaloes. Additionally, you’ll have the chance to witness giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, elands, hippos, and impalas in their natural habitat. Every Mikumi Holiday Safaris trip is tailored to your personal preferences and interests. Below you’ll find a sample itinerary to inspire your own custom-designed journey.
The itinerary begins with a departure from Zanzibar Airport between 7:30 and 8:00 AM, heading to Mikumi National Park, where we will arrive by 9:00 AM to start the safari adventure. Following a morning of exploration, a lunch break is scheduled from 12:30 to 1:30 PM. After lunch, we will continue our afternoon safari, immersing ourselves in the wildlife until it’s time to prepare for departure. At 3:00 PM, we will report to the Mikumi National Park airstrip for our flight back to Zanzibar, with an expected arrival at Zanzibar Airport between 4:30 and 5:00 PM.
