Your Adventure Begins

Touch down at Zanzibar Airport, where your guide awaits with a warm “Karibu!” (Welcome!). A short drive brings you to The Seyyida Hotel, a boutique gem in the heart of Stone Town.

 

Afternoon Exploration

• Historic Walking Tour: Peel back layers of history at the Old Slave Market, where your guide shares poignant stories of Zanzibar’s past.
• Architectural Wonders: Admire the House of Wonders (Beit-al-Ajaib) and the intricately carved Zanzibar Doors symbols of wealth and power.
• Sunset at Forodhani Gardens: Watch the waterfront come alive with food stalls serving urojo (Zanzibari soup) and grilled octopus.

 

Evening

Free time to wander the labyrinthine streets. Pop into Africa House Hotel for a sunset dhow cocktail.

After breakfast, drive southeast to Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park, Zanzibar’s only national park.

• Red Colobus Monkeys: Stroll boardwalks with a ranger to spot these playful, endangered primates (they love to pose for photos!).
• Mangrove Boardwalk: Learn how these trees protect Zanzibar’s coastline while spotting crabs and tropical birds.

 

Afternoon Spice Tour

• Working Spice Farm Visit: Crush cinnamon bark, taste fresh jackfruit, and discover why Zanzibar is called the “Spice Island.”
• Local Lunch: Feast on Swahili dishes like pilau rice and coconut bean soup at a family-run farm.

 

Evening at Leisure

Optional: Book a traditional Taarab music show or shop for hand-carved souvenirs at Darajani Market.

Spend your final morning browsing Stone Town’s boutiques for spices or souvenirs, with an optional stop at the Freddie Mercury Museum. Transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
