All bookings must be confirmed in writing via email or fax. A booking is only deemed confirmed upon receipt of a 30% deposit of the total tour price, with confirmation of payment acknowledged by our bank. The remaining 70% balance must be settled no later than four (4) weeks prior to the tour start date. Failure to complete payment on time may result in cancellation without refund of the deposit.
All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email or fax and are only effective upon acknowledgment by Mikumi Holiday Safaris.
Cancellation charges are as follows:
More than 45 days before the tour start date: 30% of the total tour price
45 to 30 days before the tour start date: 50% of the total tour price
Less than 30 days before the tour start date: 100% of the total tour price
Please note: No refunds will be issued for itinerary changes made after departure, unused services, or client no-shows.
No refunds will be granted for:
Unused portions of the tour itinerary after departure
Failure to appear for any accommodation, transport, service, or activity
Requests for changes to confirmed bookings (e.g., travel dates, accommodations) must be submitted in writing. Amendment charges apply and may be a minimum of 10% of the total tour price, depending on the nature and timing of the changes. Amendments are subject to availability and may result in revised pricing.
Payments can be made via:
Bank transfer
Cash
Traveler’s cheques
Visa, MasterCard, or American Express
All transaction fees and currency exchange charges are the responsibility of the client.
Mikumi Holiday Safaris is not liable for delays, interruptions, or changes due to road or airstrip conditions, weather, or other circumstances beyond our control. We reserve the right to make necessary itinerary adjustments in such cases and will inform clients as early as possible. Any resulting additional costs will be the responsibility of the client.
Participation in safaris and related activities involves inherent risks. Mikumi Holiday Safaris, including its owners, employees, and affiliates, shall not be held liable for injury, illness, death, damage, or loss of personal property during the tour, regardless of the cause.
Clients are responsible for:
Seeking medical advice prior to travel
Ensuring appropriate vaccinations
Assessing personal fitness for participation
In circumstances beyond our control (“Force Majeure”)—including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, war, civil unrest, or government restrictions—Mikumi Holiday Safaris reserves the right to cancel or alter any booking without liability. Refunds, if applicable, will be made at the company’s sole discretion.
Only authorized officers of Mikumi Holiday Safaris may alter or waive any part of these Terms and Conditions. No employee, agent, or representative is authorized to make exceptions unless confirmed in writing by such an officer.
In the unlikely event of a problem or complaint during your trip, you must inform your tour guide or our representative immediately to allow us the opportunity to resolve the issue on-site. If not resolved, the matter must be submitted in writing within 14 days of your return.
By confirming a booking, you acknowledge and accept these Terms and Conditions. Any variation must be requested in writing and approved by an authorized officer of Mikumi Holiday Safaris.
