5:00 AM
Hotel pick up in Dar es Salaam. Your driver transfers you to the train station for the morning ride to Morogoro.
6:00 AM
Luxury express train to Morogoro. The journey takes about 90 minutes through open landscapes.
8:00 AM
Drive to Mikumi National Park. Your driver meets you at the station and takes you to Mikumi in a full air conditioned minivan. Drive time is about two hours.
10:00 AM
Full day game drive in Mikumi. You switch to a safari vehicle with a professional guide. Explore the Mkata area with high chances of seeing elephants, lions, zebras, giraffes, buffalo, hippos, and wildebeests.
1:00 PM
Hot lunch inside the park. Fresh meal served at one of the park restaurants.
1:45 PM
Afternoon game drive. More time in the plains for photography and better sightings as temperatures cool.
3:45 PM
Drive back to Morogoro. Return to the station for the evening train.
7:00 PM
Train back to Dar es Salaam. Smooth ride back to the city.
9:00 PM
Hotel drop off in Dar. End of service.
